Use of “Veni”? Is it a real word? I support your answer..In Nicaragua we use a lot "veni" in the context you explained. We use "vos" instead of "tu" :) |

Are there any differences between “de nada” and “por nada”? Honestly for me both are the same...we use it in central america to say "your welcome" in a polite way |

'vos' vs 'tú' usage by country In Nicaragua..for people who deserve respect we use "usted" like your mom, boss or someone that you just met and looks older than you.. with people we have the same level like your brothers, sisters and your friends we use "vos". I would not say that vos is disrespectful..I think you use vos when you trust someone or you think you are in the same level. |

congratulations: felicidades vs. felicitaciones we don't use very often "en hora buena" in my country..but is an expression of happiness, it is a way to say congratulations..but like remarking that something good finally happen. |

Translation of “Welcome back!” same in Nicaragua...bienvenido(a)...o tambien se puede usar que "que bueno verte".

“xq” in Internet slang/abbreviations I do it when I am in a hurry, texting, lazy or feel comfortable enough with someone to use it. If is something formal I would never use it |

“Dale pues” in Nicaraguan Spanish yes...both are correct. I tend to use more "Querés ir al cine?" to be honest like you said in your post. You can say "de acuerdo" but I think is more common to say dale pues.. I use "de acuerdo" occasionally especially when I am having a discussion with someone and I agree so I say "de acuerdo pero" but in that case I might use "esta bien pero.." |

“De donde fue” instead of “De donde estaba” :) indeed It is OK for us. However for Nicaraguans when they travel to another countries it takes a while for us to get use to have street names..it was indeed a lot fun for me. |
