¿Qué es “inventar el hilo negro”? Otra expresión que he oído yo en España es Descubrir el Mediterráneo (lo cual tiene bastante sentido para un español, porque descubrir el mar que rodea casi el 90% del territorio es bastante... absurdo) :D |

Difference between vegetales and verduras? Maybe is just my... mindset, but I also tend to think that "verduras" is something that you tend to cook (boil, mainly) before eating. I would never say that lechuga (lettuce) is a verdura... But maybe is just because of the way my mom used to call it... I totally agree with Jose J. Fernández, answer, though. |

“cursive” and “printed” writing Just a small addition... In Spain I'd say that we wouldn't understand "Manuscrita" as "Cursive". For us, "Manuscrita" is "hand-written" (without specifying any kind of style). Besides that, the usage is the same as Sergio said. (Cursive = Cursiva, Printed = Molde o De Imprenta) |
