“Está hecho de…” why not “es hecho de”? hecho is not an adjective, it's a verb. If it was an adjective, it could use es depending on the case, e.g. La puerta es verde, La puerta está rota. |

Translation of “to play favorites” I think that when citing a regionalism or slang, the origin should be cited too, because slang is of course not consistent throughout all of the spanish speaking world. |

Translation of “to play favorites” @Laura: that may be a regionalism, where have you heard it? Doesn't mean this in Argentina. |

What is the difference between 'hallar' and 'encontrar'? No misspelling but you could use some line breaks. Just enter two spaces before hitting enter. |

Is “me gustas” ever right? gustar is not unusual at all. It's almost equivalent to the verb like. And me gustas is correct and very common, I've actually told me gustas to many girls ;-) |

How important is 'proper' pronunciation in Spanish and is it incorrect to 'make up' a dialect? Sorry, I accidentally the word fail. |

When is “mitad” appropriate? @Flimzy: That's what I meant, please give examples of how you use mitad and medio. I meant both just for enumerating the words, not that you used them together. |

When is “mitad” appropriate? @KevinK.: the fix is less than 6 characters, only you can fix it, neither MikMik nor I have enough reputation to do so. |

When is “mitad” appropriate? @JaimeSoto: why wrong? media is half as an adjective, and mitad is half as a noun, so media mitad is effectively half of a half, I.E. a quarter. |

Is there a consistent rule for constructing reflexive verbs? @Eduardo, you're right, those verbs can't be reflexive following real life logic, but what if one were writing fantastic literature or telling a dream? |
