@GonzaloMedina Entiendo lo que dices. Pero la verdad nunca lo había escuchado como "me ignora" pero es interesante. Si quieres edita la respuesta. Es la primera vez que escucho que determinar podría tener tal acepción. Gracias en todo caso.

Yes I agree with Flimzy there are multiple questions here. You should make as many questions as you need to resolve all your doubts, not make a list-like question if you can avoid it. In my personal opinion I don't think this will help you identify the differences in gender of the different nouns. And about the original formation it is unlikely a reason will be found. You call them irregularities but that's only because you don't yet fully understand how they work. That is normal. Every language has exceptions, but there aren't that many in spanish. Try to get the flow of the language.

Pienso que como regla general el verbo que es en subjuntivo sigue la misma forma que el primer verbo. Pudieras -> quieras. Tuviera -> está. Hubieran -> estuviera. Sobre las reglas no las conozco, pues se trata de casos muy específicos en mi opinión. Veamos qué dicen los otros.

I don't think there is a specific term in mexican spanish for that. I have heard moqueta and alfombra. I haven't lived in mexico though so I'm not in a position to know. @Flimzy should know! :O)
