comment How do you describe a slight right/left turn (bearing left or right)?
I usually just say "sigue hacia la (derecha/izquierda) when it's not a full turn.

comment Are there other words that can't be written? (like sal-le)
I'm pasting a comment on the same article you linked: “Salir al encuentro DE alguien” no puede ser reemplazada por “Sal-le al encuentro”, pues “de alguien” no es objeto y por lo tanto no puede sustituirse por el pronombre “le”. Sería “Sal a su encuentro”. Para que existiese “Sal-le al encuentro” la frase debería ser “Sal al encuentro a María”, y dicha frase no es correcta."

comment Connotations of “mortal” (slang)
In Spanish you can have the same meaning with "de muerte"

comment Are there other words that can't be written? (like sal-le)
Actually I think that's incorrect because de verb is not "salirle" but "salir" and the imperative form is "sal". It's true that you can 't use de imperative with the reflexive third person form, but as Garrigus Carraig I can't think any situation with the need form this imperative with this refleive could come up.

comment Why does “toalla” sound like “tualla”?
Quizás al pronunciarlo rápido la posición de los labio y la lengua al prepararte para la "a" queda más próxima a la "u" que a la "o" y, diría, que este fenómeno tiene nombre en la fonología pero no me acuerdo.

comment Why “fiestas de árboles” and not “árboles de fiestas”?
I think it's just poetic license so it's not an expression but a phrase made up by the writer

comment Is “mas sin embargo” a pleonasm?
Yes I think it's a pleonasm but the problem is not being or not beign a pleonasm but that it sounds strange and even artificial. Maybe it's a reginalism but I doubt you would ever hear a native (at least in Spain) using it.
