The translation for Quest is "búsqueda" but it just does not work properly. In English we say "I'm on a quest for the holy grail" this is not quite the same as "I'm searching for the holy grail." So how do I get the seance of adventure implied in "quest" in Spanish. Can some one think of a better word.

A usual translation is "misión" – Laura Jan 5 '12 at 22:19
Maybe en busca de can work. It might imply a bit of action. For example the film "Raiders of the lost ark" is known as "En busca del arca perdida" – Javi Jan 5 '12 at 22:38

Yes, "misión" is pretty common, here are some example websites in Spanish using it in a game context:

"desafío" is another option – Sergio Apr 12 '12 at 11:18

Misión y desafío traducen mejor a la magnifica palabra quest!

Bienvenido/a Susy, en Spanish language se encuentran cantidad de extranjeros aprendiendo nuestro idioma, es por ello que es muy importante pararse a corregir errores de escritura, dado que puede que utilicen tus palabras como aprendizaje, y no queremos que alguien traduzca "quest" como "mosión" verdad? :) – JesusS Nov 5 at 13:26
@Susy por favor revisa que no tengas errores de ortografía antes de enviar tu respuesta. En tu respuesta hay palabras erróneas y palabras pegadas que habrías podido corregir fácilmente. – DGaleano Nov 5 at 13:33
